The guesthouse at Finch Gardens offers a comfortably elegant overnite stay for people from out of town or for the friends or family that you just don't have quite enough room for.
Finch Gardens is 3 1/2 acres of sunny creekside property where a body just couldn't help having a garden. And so it goes...gardens, gardens, everywhere! Yours to enjoy! You might siesta in the shady hammock, or sit and enjoy the sound of the creek. You may pick you favorite veggies and herbs from the gardens and enjoy an outdoor meal on your shaded deck. Or you can go for a bike ride or hike in the local nearby state and county parks. Kayaking doesn't get any better than it is at Highland Springs Reservoir and horses, cyclists and hikers can enjoy expansive trails there as well.
We laughingly refer to the Guesthouse at Finch Gardens as "the condo" because of how it compares to our daily life "farmhouse". It shines with all of the glamour of a pricey condominium but is wonderfully grounded by it's oldstyle craftsman's eye for detail. Built by John Finch from a previous 660 sq. ft. garage, it is an amazing use of space and the open ceiling plan provides for a spacious, fresh air feeling and double wide sliding french doors allow you to feel like you are as much outside, as in.
As activities go...what's your pleasure? Wining, dining, dancing, cycling, hiking, fishing, antiquing, boating, horseback riding, bird watching, gambling... all of the fun you could ever want to have is just 10 minutes away in any direction.
Gardening workshops for children and adults can also be a fun way to spend the day. Children and adults can spend time "working the farm" and learn about many of the different facets of a garden that provides incredible meals. We offer an opportunity to learn to tend and harvest herbs, fruits and vegetables and plenty of little animals for the children to enjoy.
Plenty of room for horse and boat trailers, toy trailers or motorhomes.
